High-Quality Riprap Materials & Armor Stone for Florida

The longevity of your shoreline protection depends entirely on the quality and density of the stone used. At RipRap of Florida (a Oneco Concrete company), we source only the highest-grade riprap materials specifically engineered to withstand the unique pressures of the Florida Gulf Coast.

Serving Bradenton, Sarasota, Manatee County, and all Florida shorelines, we ensure that your erosion control project uses the right material for your specific water energy and soil conditions.

High-Quality Riprap Materials & Armor Stone for Florida

Not all stone is created equal. We offer a variety of sizes and materials to match the aesthetic and functional needs of your property:

  • Florida Limestone: A popular and effective choice for local shorelines. Native limestone is cost-effective and provides a rugged, natural look that blends perfectly with Florida’s coastal environment.
  • High-Density Granite: For high-energy areas, such as properties on the open bay or high-traffic canals, granite riprap offers superior density and weight. Its resistance to salt and constant wave action makes it the "gold standard" for permanent protection.
  • Armor Stone: These are larger, heavier boulders used as the outer layer of a revetment to take the brunt of storm surges and heavy wakes.
  • Geotextile Filter Fabric: While not a stone, this is the most critical "material" in our process. We use industrial-grade, non-woven fabric underneath our rocks to prevent soil from leaching into the water.

Choosing the Right Size for Your Project

Riprap is categorized by its "DOT" (Department of Transportation) size, ranging from small bedding stone to massive boulders.

Rocks and grass beside a calm body of water under clear sky.

Residential Shorelines: Typically use 6–12 inch or 12–18 inch stones for a clean, walkable look.

Wooden staircase and dock leading down to rocky shoreline and water.

Commercial & High-Wake Zones: Require larger "Type A" or "Type B" riprap to ensure the stones don't shift during a tropical storm or hurricane.

The "Oneco" Difference: Quality Sourcing

Oneco Concrete Logo

Because we are backed by Oneco Concrete, we have the logistical power to source materials directly and deliver them to your site with our own heavy equipment. This ensures you get clean, properly sized stone, not "fill dirt" or rubble, resulting in a shoreline that looks better and lasts longer.
