Riprap is not intended for non-reinforced vertical walls higher than 2 feet. Vertical walls can be extended to 10 feet and higher with proper engineering design. Installations over 2 feet typically require metal stakes to secure the first layer to the ground, metal staples and horizontal metal ties into the vertical soil mass. Not intended for use for building foundations, structural or free-standing walls.
